Hollywood legends Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine are lending their voices to the AI world. They’ve signed a deal with ElevenLabs, a fast-growing AI audio company that’s now worth an impressive $6.6 billion.
The company, headquartered in New York, can now produce AI-generated versions of famous actors voices. The goal? To solve a key ethical dilemma in the growing AI-Hollywood collaboration.
Having partnered with ElevenLabs since 2022 and invested in the company, McConaughey is now letting his newsletter, Lyrics of Livin’, come to life in Spanish—with his voice brought to AI.
The company is launching the Iconic Voices Marketplace, letting brands use celebrity voices legally for AI projects. Michael Caine has joined the lineup, adding his instantly recognizable voice to the mix.
Caine said, “I’ve spent years lending my voice to stories that inspire and entertain. Now, ElevenLabs lets me help others do the same. Together, we can preserve and share voices – from mine to anyone’s.”
He explained that ElevenLabs is “focused on using technology to highlight human creativity, not replace it,” emphasizing that it’s “about amplifying voices, not taking them over.”
