Google broke the news on LinkedIn through its Search Central account, and if you’re curious, you can find the full breakdown on their Help site.
A new approach to see the development of your website is Google’s Achievements report, which is now available in Search Console. You can now quickly monitor important website milestones and determine which target you’re on schedule to reach next.
Once merely a periodic email update, Google has now formally launched the Achievements report in Search Console, transforming it into a comprehensive experience. These milestones, which were previously included in Search Console Insights, are now simpler to view and monitor in a single location.
Google claims that because users have expressed a great appreciation for these milestones, they have made a permanent home for them within the platform. They want you to appreciate the new function and continue to reach many more milestones in the future. That’s their obvious message!
Based on your site’s recent success in Google Search—more precisely, the quantity of clicks over the previous 28 days—the Achievements report highlights one “In Progress” milestone at a time.
The report is logically divided into two sections: “Achieved” milestones that you have already achieved and “In Progress” goals that you are almost approaching.
By clicking on any success, you can access the main Insights report, see a full perspective of your traffic trends over the last 28 days, and get useful advice and tools to help you maintain your momentum.
Google offers Achievements as a motivating tool to showcase your site’s development and acknowledge victories along the road.
They have clarified, though, that these badges are not connected to Google’s ranking algorithms, so don’t confuse them with SEO signals. They are not intended to affect your ranking in search results; rather, they are meant to inspire.
Has a new property been added to Search Console? If the Achievements report initially appears blank, don’t panic.
It may take up to 28 days for recently added locations to collect sufficient data before any milestones are displayed. Achievements need to appear as soon as pertinent data becomes available if you’re dealing with an existing website.
By consolidating milestones inside Search Console, Google facilitates monitoring the development of your website. Since these objectives are based on actual clicks, the Achievements report motivates you to produce content that brings in real visitors and offers genuine value.
